HOLY BALLS!

How many of you know what a lid switch is for your washing maching???
Well.... I didn't, but I do now!  :-)
I called for an estimate on service and it was going to be $40 for the part, plus $75 for them to come out.
I decided to do it!  That's right, ME.
I looked up the part number (thank you internet)
and watched a couple YouTube videos
(no way I could have done it without guidance!)

This is the inside of a washing machine

CraZy ugh? I thought it was!
Tracey asked me NOT to do this while she was home... and I didn't!

This is a picture of the BROKEN lid switch.

Where the lid switch is - it switches your machine - fill up - wash - spin - rinse, ect.. It's a necessary part!

The most difficult part was getting the casing BACK on.
It works and I don't need to click the "switch" with a screw driver!!!

I'm without a doubt SUPER PROUD of my capabilities!!
Who knew I could be so handy?
I will one day get to use a sledge hammer..may not be tomorrow,
but someday!  lol..lol..

Trimming the Tree!

We started decorating a little early this year, and have been BUSY!
Kids are SUPER excited about Santa and they are counting the days until he comes.
It's awesome to see them so happy and excited.
Their happiness and joy makes it easier for me to get through the moments that I'm missing my mom.

Here are those moments that make me smile!

Delaney asked Santa for diapers and Joel asked for a telescope!

Summit snuggling on a Santa pillow!

Visited Granny on Thanksgiving... too cute!

Yummy candy canes from the BIG GUY!

Playing with our Christmas train!  Human bridges/tunnels!
More to come soon!  :-)
Hope everyone is almost done shopping and enjoying the holiday season!

Surprise Birthday!

Tracey sent me to LA for a get-away to see my friend Sonia.  It was INCREDIBLE!!!  After the terror of flying subsided and I landed safely...my fun began!
1st stop was the Hollywood sign, we were going to horse back ride up the mountain, but flying was enough craziness for me that day!

Here is Hollywood Blvd.

 Me & Audrey having tea....

Here's the reason I'm broke now....

Part of my spa treatment... Fiji water & Champagne!!!  WOW!  This is LA life!  :-)

Having coffee with my friend Sonia on the Pier, who helped make my birthday one I'll never forget!  (Talk about great friends!)

Our FANCY crab cake from Spago... Yummy!

The gorgeous scenery...it's just amazing...houses on cliffs...

Tracey hasn't seen my credit card statement yet from Cartier, but trust me I'm going to have a VERY Merry Christmas this year!!!!  ;-)
A girl can dream.... ;-)

Where all the ACTION takes place..... at least some of it!

The Grove's Christmas Event that we weren't expecting!

 Breath taking veiws.

Needless to say my surprise birthday gift was AMAZING.  I'm so fortunate to have a wife who noticed I needed a break and would give me the chance to take it.    If you ever have the chance to go to LA, definitely GO!  You won't regret it!  It's beautiful, crazy, and so much fun!

Happy Halloween 2011

I'm copying this wonderful idea from a friend.... I've enjoyed her blogs and wanted to do the same.  Maybe you will enjoy mine - maybe you won't.  Either way I've decided to create it and share it with you!  :-)

The Schuck Party was discussing potential costumes in early Septemeber.... We all know that dressing up is the end of Halloween so we'll start from the beginning.

We started the season off at our friends Fall Bash were the kids ran around and played, painted pumpkins, and roasted marshmallows.

Then we went to Evans Orchard pumpkin patch, but with the INCREDIBLE playground we never actually made it to the pumpkin patch!!!  The kids didn't seem to mind...

They led us through the corn maze and we didn't get lost!

They can't have ALL the fun!  :-)

Our next tradition was carving pumpkins.. Who doesn't like that pumpkin guts?

Delaney just wanted to play with the guts...seriously.  lol..lol..

Both of them were SUPER proud of their pumkins!

To the end of our Halloween season was of course trick or treat.

Here we are SUPER HERO & VILLANS!
For those of who don't know, we have Batman, Batgirl, my cheap attempt as CatWoman and the Joker.
Tracey, again, made children cry this Halloween night with her wicked costume!

Just freaky looking really ~ she alwasys does such a good job with her make-up ~ she's always scary!
We were outside at 6pm sharp!  Obviously, the kids couldn't wait another MINUTE or they were going to explode, or I was, I'm not sure.
We were out for 1 hour and little legs were already tiring.. and BOTH pumpkins were over flowing with candy that I'll eat when they are at school and in bed!
(Guess I'll need to hit the gym more in November!)
Damn you Halloween for your sweet treats and extra pounds you give me, but I
look forward to next year all the same!

Hope you ALL had an awesome Halloween!
